All adult vine weevils are female, so every one you catch means fewer eggs and so also fewer vine weevil grubs to eat your plants’ roots…and of course , less leaf notching by the adult vine weevils too.
The nematode control is brilliant for controlling the grubs , but use these traps and you’ll impact the adult population too!
Just place the Nematop Adult Vine Weevil Traps under your susceptible/infested plants when the adults are most active ( April and September). Each Nematop Adult Vine Weevil Trap consists of a specially designed wooden board, with gel-filled grooves. The gel contains 2.5 million nematodes (Steinernema carpocapsae), and it attracts and kills the adults.
One trap will control adult beetles in a 10sqm area and is effective for approximately 6 weeks.

How it works:
When the trap is placed face down onto the ground beneath your plants they absorb water, and the gel in the grooves swells up and oozes out under the board of gel under the board in contact with the soil, forming a pad which raises the trap off the ground slightly. The adult vine weevils crawl into the grooves looking for a sheltered spot to hide away in during the daytime. The nematodes in the gel will then infects and safely kills them with no risk to wildlife, children or pets .
